October 9 – Fly to Bangkok. Check into Riva Surya Boutique Hotel for the evening.
October 10 – Free day at hotel to relax. (B)
October 11 – Bangkok City Tour including a cruise on the Chao Phraya River and the canals of Thonburi, Grand Palace, Wat Po, and Wat Arun. Stop for local lunch. (B,L)
October 12 – This morning, enjoy a Thai Cooking Class and lunch. After lunch, head to the airport for the afternoon flight to Phuket. Upon arrival, check into hotel for the evening. (B,L)
October 13 & 14 – Free days to relax on the beach. (B)
October 15 – Transfer to airport for morning flight back to Bangkok. Upon arrival, visit Cabbage and Condoms NGO and social enterprise restaurant for a tour and lunch. Check back into Riva Surya. (B,L)
October 16 – Morning drive to Bang Pa to visit the Summer Palace. Then, board a longtail boat and head to Ayutthaya. Visit this UNESCO World Heritage ancient capital city and enjoy a local lunch. Relax in day room until evening overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai. (B,L,D)
October 17 – Morning arrival to Chiang Mai. Enjoy breakfast and coffee at a local restaurant before checking into U Chiang Mai Hotel. Afternoon, walking tour of Old Chiang Mai to see temples, markets, and popular landmarks. After dinner in Old Town, return to hotel. (B)
October 18 – Morning alms giving to local monks. Then, continue on to see Wat Chedi and experience morning market life. Return to hotel for breakfast. Then, drive to Phuping Palace for a stroll through the gardens, scenic views, and lunch. Continue on to Wat Prathai Doi Suthep where the relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined. Return to hotel in the late afternoon. (B,L)
October 19 – Morning departure for Lisu Village. Upon arrival check into Lisu Lodge. This is a community-based tourism project that aims to conserve the natural heritage of the hill tribes in Chiang Mai. It is run by members of the Lisu Tribe and food is sourced from local organic rice fields and vegetable gardens. Enjoy a welcome lunch. Relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. (B,L,D)
October 20 – Morning hike into the jungle to visit several hill tribe villages. Return to lodge in time for lunch and relaxation. (B,L,D)
October 21 – Morning transfer to Chiang Mai airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Transfer to Maison Dalabua Hotel and relax for the evening. (B)
October 22 – Walking tour of Luang Prabang today including the Royal Museum and local temples. Enjoy lunch at Ock Pop Tok. In the afternoon, visit the weaving villages of Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek. Return to hotel in the evening. (B,L)
October 23 – Board a private boat this morning for a ride up the Mekong River. Stop at Ban Muangkeo to begin trek to the Pak Ou Caves. These two caves house thousands of Buddha statues. Board boat and head down the Mekong River this time stopping at Ban Nongxai – an artisan village. Enjoy lunch along the way. Return to hotel for a relaxing afternoon. (B,L)
October 24 – After breakfast, visit the Kuangsi Waterfalls. Bring your swimming suits and enjoy a refreshing swim. You’ll also get to see the work of Free the Bears as you enter the park. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B)
October 25 – Morning at leisure. Then catch train to Vang Vieng. Transfer to Viengtara Rice Bungalows. Relax and enjoy the view. (B)
October 26 – Visit the village of Ban Pha Tang to see the famous bridge and the Buddhist Temple of Wat Pho Karm Chai Mong Koi. Return to hotel to relax in the afternoon. (B,L)
October 27 – Relaxing morning. In the afternoon, transfer to the train station to catch the train to Vientiane. Arrive and transfer to Laos Poet Hotel. (B)
October 28 – Morning visit to the Buddha Park. This park is full of Buddha sculptures and statues and is located along the Mekong River. Enjoy lunch along the way. Afternoon tour of Vientiane including Wat Sisaket, Wat Prakeo, Patuxai Monument, and the golden stupa of That Luang. Return to hotel in the early evening. (B,L)
October 29 – Morning of relaxation. Early evening flight to Hanoi, Vietnam. Check into Apricot Hotel. (B)
October 30 – Free day at the hotel to relax and regroup. (B)
October 31 –Tour of Hanoi today including stops at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem Lake/Ngoc Son Temple, and a walking tour of the Old Quarter. Return to hotel in the evening. (B,L)
November 1 – Morning transfer to Halong Bay to board your La Casta Cruise Ship. Enjoy lunch after checking into your cabin. The boat will depart for Ba Trai Dao and the Lagoon of Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy swimming or kayaking. Cooking demonstration and dinner in the evening. (B,L,D)
November 2 – After breakfast, enjoy a day trip to the village of Viet Hai for a tour and explore more of Lan Ha Bay. Return to boat for lunch. Swimming and relaxation time on the beach in the afternoon. Dinner in the evening. (B,L,D)
November 3 – After breakfast, visit Tra Bau to swim or kayak. Enjoy lunch and then disembark the boat. Transfer back to Hanoi and catch flight to Hue. Check into Silk Path Grand Hotel. (B)
November 4 – Tour of Hue today including stops at palaces, pagodas, tombs, and temples. Visit the Perfume River and a local village. Stop for lunch. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)
November 5 – Morning drive to Bana Hill in Danang. Experience the world’s longest single wire cable car and enjoy an incredible view of Danang from the famous Golden Bridge. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda and the Goddess of Mercy Statue. Continue on to Hoi An and check into Almanity Resort. (B,L)
November 6 – Morning cooking class at Red Bridge Cooking House including a visit to the local market with your chef. Enjoy a walking tour in the afternoon including vists to the old merchant’s house, Japanese Covered Bridge, Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation, and the colorful local market. Make a stop at the Reaching Out Tea House before returning to your hotel. (B,L)
November 7 – Morning drive to Danang to catch flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to Hotel des Arts for a rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour including stops at the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the former Presidential Palace, and the War Remnant Museum. Return to hotel for the evening. November 8 – This morning drive two hours to the middle of the Mekong Delta – known as Ben Tre. Hop on a boat and watch local activities taking place such as fishing, coconut cargo boats, honey bees workshop, and more. Then stop by a coconut candy workshop, visit a sleeping mat artisan, drive through coconut groves, and then stop for a local lunch. Return via motorboat and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. (B,L)
November 9 – Morning visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels in the Vietnamese countryside. Afternoon, catch flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Check into The Aviary Boutique Hotel. (B,L)
November 10 – Free day to relax and enjoy the hotel. (B)
November 11 – Venture outside of Siem Reap today to visit the beautiful Rolous Temples – Prah Ko, Lolei, and Bakong Temples. Enjoy a packed lunch. Continue on to Kompong Pluk Village for a tour and a boat ride to see houses built upon stilts in the floodplains of the Tonle Sap Lake. Return to hotel. (B,L)
November 12 – Sunrise tour of Angkor Wat – considered to be the largest religious structure in the world. Take your time to explore and enjoy the scenery. Rest at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a performance by Phare Circus – a model of sustainability and responsible tourism. This modern cultural performance provides well paying jobs, funds the local school, and provides opportunities to Cambodian artisans. Return to hotel after the performance. (B,D)
November 13 – Temple tour to visit Ta Prohm and Banteay Srey. Check into Bong Thom Forest Lodge for an evening in the jungle. Enjoy their incredible pool in the afternoon. (B,L,D)
November 14 – Temple tour to visit Koh Ker Temple including the imposing 7 tiered pyramid and temple complex of Prasat Thom. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Then visit Beng Mealea Jungle Temple. Return to your forest lodge for the evening. (B,L,D)
November 15 – Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Sihanoukville. Meet your representative from Canvas and Orchid Retreats and head to Koh Andet Island in the Cardamom Rainforest via boat from Tatai Bridge. Settle into your waterfront accommodations located on the Tatai River and relax for the evening. (B,D)
November 16 – After breakfast, immerse yourself in the local culture by taking the “Walk into the Khmer’s Life” tour. Meet the locals of Koh Andet Island, visit typical Cambodian architecture, and see what its like on a daily basis living near the river and the jungle. Return to hotel and enjoy the nature surrounding you. (B,LD)
November 17 –Head to the Tatai Waterfall this morning via boat to explore and swim. Free afternoon to swim in the river, kayak, hike, or simply rest. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B,L,D)
November 18 – Leisurely morning. Then, check out of camp and board the boat to Trapeang Rung. Transfer to Phnom Penh. Check into Raffles Le Royal Hotel for the evening. (B)
November 19 – City tour of Phnom Penh today including a stop at the Detention Center S21 at Toul Sleng and the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek – highlighting the atrocities of Cambodia’s past. In the afternoon, visit the art galleries along National Museum Road and a stroll to the Royal Palace. Enjoy a cyclo tour through the streets and along the river ending at Exchange Restaurant. Return to hotel. (B,L)
November 20 – Visit the small island of Koh Dach in the middle of the Mekong River for a tour of the local village. Enjoy lunch on the banks of the Mekong. In the late afternoon, board a private boat for a sunset cruise. Return to hotel in the evening. (B,L)
November 21 – Free day to relax, repack, enjoy the pool, or head out and explore on your own. (B)
November 22 – Transfer to airport today to catch your flight to the Maldives. (B)
