Anne Campbell

Co-Founder

Anne Campbell Rojas graduated from IU with a B.A. in Apparel Merchandising and minors in Business and Spanish.  She studied abroad in Spain fine tuning her language skills. After college, she moved to New York City working in the fashion industry for BCBG Maxazria. She moved to Indianapolis to launch The Village Experience. Anne manages the overall business operations at TVE. She focuses on marketing, finance, and web operations. Anne and her family prioritize travel, cultural experiences, and learning about international cuisine. They have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Central and South America, Africa, and Asia.

Kelly Campbell

Co-Founder

Kelly S. Campbell graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Apparel Merchandising and Business.  After graduation, she lived in New York and Miami working in international public relations for major fashion companies BCBG, Tommy Hilfiger, and Anthropologie. Kelly received her Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Indianapolis and the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.  She lived in Cape Town and Kenya volunteering for non-profits and exploring Africa. Kelly has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America designing trips and developing projects for The Village Experience and The Village Cooperative. She currently lives in Lamu, Kenya and runs a robust social media campaign for The Village Experience, monitors development projects, and escorts our socially responsible tourism programs around the world.

Tonda Baker

Administrative Assistant

Tonda joined The Village Experience team in January 2026. She enjoys connecting with travelers and helping create smooth, meaningful experiences as they prepare for and travel on their journeys. Passionate about community, culture, and giving back, she loves being part of experiences that make a positive impact. In her free time, Tonda enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new places together.

Mikki Trowbridge

Village Cooperative Board Member

Mikki Trowbridge is an Oregon-based yoga teacher. She is the founder of Resonance Yoga Collective, a studio in Salem, Oregon and Yoga + Beer, a yoga community that practices at breweries and wineries around the Pacific Northwest. Mikki also leads international yoga retreats curated and managed by TVE. Mikki’s professional background is rooted in nonprofit management and volunteer engagement, inspiring others to find their ability and passion to share their voice, time and treasures with their community. Mikki’s first exposure to socially responsible tourism was in college, when her love for travel was ignited. She’s been traveling and inviting others to join along ever since – with a special place in her heart for our TVE projects in India, Kenya and Guatemala.

Marcy Lopez Golden

Village Cooperative Board Member

Marcy graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Psychology and San Jose State University with a Masters in Public Health. After graduation, she worked studying various health issues including teen pregnancy, education and literacy in migrant farm workers and access to health care for low-income communities. Marcy left the business world in 2002 to stay home and raise 3 children, but continued to stay active in public health issues. When their youngest was 7 years old, Marcy and her husband decided that they wanted to become involved in family philanthropy projects. Marcy discovered The Village Experience and was instantly hooked after their first trip to Kenya. Since then she and her family have traveled to Guatemala, Egypt, and Indonesia with the Village Experience. She’s also been able to join TVE on trips to Jordan, India, Turkey, South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. She continues to spread her passion for philanthropy to other families, couples and groups in the hopes they too will see the value in traveling responsibly.
