The Village Experience is a socially pro-active business dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities in the developing world through efforts in international trade and tourism. Proceeds are used to support the mission of The Village Cooperative.
Socially Responsible Tourism
Our trips to the developing world focus on cultural education, service & philanthropy, and adventure. They are designed to give our passengers a true “village experience.” TVE specializing in customizing trips for solo travel, families, couples/honeymoon, small groups, yoga seva retreats, student programs, and places a special emphasis on creating safe and enriching experiences for women. We encourage all of our passengers to fund raise or donate to the projects they will be visiting and the communities they will be interacting with.
Fair Trade
We visit artisans who create beautiful, handcrafted products globally. We believe strongly in supporting fair wages, preserving the local culture, and helping to uplift the artisan’s family. You can expect to visit fair trade workshops, cooperatives and local markets on many of our travel experiences.
International Development
The Village Experience believes in “moving forward by giving back…” that’s why we created The Village Cooperative. TVC provides opportunities for individuals, families, companies, organizations, clubs, etc. to get involved in our income-generating projects around the world. Support hard working artisans, help a community of widows care for the orphans in their village, donate to communities recovering from natural disasters, or provide food and medicine to those in need – just a few of our many projects.
