Itinerary
March 15 – Arrive to Guatemala International Airport. Meet your TVE representative and transfer to hotel in Antigua. Check in and relax for the evening.
March 16 – Meet your guide in the morning and enjoy a walking tour of some of Antigua’s most iconic sites – the Santa Catalina Arch, Central Park, the ruins of the Cathedral, Le Merced Church, and San Francisco Church. Stop along the way for coffee, lunch, and shopping. Free afternoon to continue exploring. (B)
March 17 & 18 – Volunteer days with our partners at Vamos Adelante. Board your 4×4 and drive up Volcano Fuego to our projects. Participate in the food distribution program to the elderly and lend a hand to the group’s designated community development project. Enjoy a packed lunch in the village. Return to hotel in the afternoon (B,L)
March 19 – Wake up and enjoy a responsible tourism coffee tour with our partners at De La Gente. Stretch your legs with a walk on the volcano to your coffee farmer’s field. Then, visit their home to learn about the production process and enjoy a cup of coffee and lunch. Afternoon drive to Lake Atitlan. Check into hotel and relax for the evening. (B,L)
March 20 – Boat tour of Lake Atitlan today. Enjoy stops at San Juan La Laguna for a women’s weaving demonstration. Then head to Santa Cruz for lunch with the hospitality school of Amigos de Santa Cruz. Then, we’ll enjoy a guided walk through Santa Catarina Palapo with our friends at Pintando Santa Catarina Palapo. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B)
March 21 – Morning drive back to Antigua in time for lunch. Free afternoon to pick up souvenirs, try more restaurants or cafes, or relax at the hotel. (B)
March 22 – Transfers to airport today. Check out time 10 a.m. (B)
TIKAL EXTENSION

March 22 – Transfer from Antigua to the airport in Guatemala City for your flight to Flores. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your lodge in the jungle. Settle in and relax for the evening. (B)
March 23 – After breakfast, meet your guide in the morning and enjoy a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Tikal National Park. These 3,000 year old Mayan Ruins are incredible! Explore Temple II and IV, the Main Plaza, and climb to the top of the Lost World Pyramid to watch the sun set. (B)
March 24 – Wake up early today for a sunrise tour of the park. Be sure to listen for the howler monkeys as they wake up to start their day. Return to hotel for breakfast. Transfer to airport for flight back to Guatemala City. Check into hotel for the evening. (B)
March 25 – Transfer to airport for flights home after check out. (B)
