Together, we have implemented programs to tackle social justice issues such as access to education & healthcare, women’s empowerment, and sustainability in these communities.

It is only through this unique relationship of responsible travel + philanthropy, that we have been able to raise $3,500,000 for our partner communities. You inspire and contribute to the impact…so keep traveling with The Village Experience!

Guatemala Yoga + Seva Retreat

A yoga retreat that invites connection through devoted practice, seva (selfless service), and responsible tourism. Staying in the tropical mountains just outside of Antigua, we’ll settle in for a week’s immersion into yoga asana, meditation, pranayama, philosophy and reflection, with time built into each day for relaxation or explorations in and around Antigua. We’ll get to know the community and support local tourism through a walking tour with a local guide, a coffee farm tour with a local cooperative, a cooking class with our guide’s family, and a fire ceremony led by a local shaman. The heart of this retreat will be our community day with our longtime community partners, Vamos Adelante, on the slopes of Volcano Fuego supporting their work around food insecurity and access to education. This retreat qualifies as 18 hours of CEUs for yoga teachers. More details below.
