EMILY MOOREFIELD MARIOLA
Emily Moorefield Mariola, ERYT-500, is the founder of Flex Yoga Wooster and is a certified Yoga Instructor through Amazing Yoga Studios of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Emily took her first yoga class in 2004 and has been hooked ever since. Emily uses her understanding of competitive athletics and awareness of physical capabilities to enhance her yoga practice as well as her teaching. Emily teaches a Power Vinyasa Flow style of yoga that integrates the physical poses (or asanas) with the breath (or pranayama) in a fluid and powerful way. Emily has been working with The Village Experience on yoga programs in Kenya and Guatemala and is excited for Thailand!

Itinerary
January 27 – Arrive to Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. Meet your local representative and transfer to hotel for the evening.
January 28 – Morning yoga and welcome session. Head out to exchange money and then enjoy lunch at social enterprise, Cabbage and Condoms. This is the income generating cafe for The Population and Community Development Association. The goal of this cafe is to promote better understanding and the acceptance of family planning throughout the country. Return to hotel for a free evening to walk around and enjoy street food for dinner. (B,L)
January 29 – Morning yoga. After breakfast, depart the hotel to explore the city seeing some of the most important sites – The Grand Palace, Wat Po, and Wat Arun. Enjoy a boat ride through the canals as we explore. Return to hotel in the evening. (B)
January 30 – Day trip to Ayutthaya to see the stunning temples of Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Maha That, and Wat Panun Choeng. Stop for a traditional lunch. Return to Bangkok in the late afternoon. (B)
January 31 – Morning yoga. Free day to enjoy Bangkok. Take a Tuktuk and spend the day shopping. Try all kinds of local street food. Enjoy a spa day. Book an optional tour to the floating market. Or simply relax at the hotel. There is so much to see and do in Bangkok! (B)
February 1 – Early morning transfer to the airport to catch flight to Krabi. Krabi is famous for its scenic views and beautiful beaches and islands. Grab an early lunch and then check into hotel located right on the beach. Afternoon yoga session. Free evening for dinner. (B)
February 2 – Morning yoga. Free day to enjoy the hotel and spend time at the pool and beach. Be sure to bring a good book! (B)
February 3 – Morning yoga. We’ll then depart for a day trip to the famous Koh Phi Phi islands by boat. Take in the stunning scenery along the way. Once we arrive, we’ll enjoy snorkeling, time on the beach, and lunch. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)
February 4 – Morning yoga. Free time throughout the day to enjoy the beach. Evening Thai Cooking Class. (B,D)
February 5 – Morning yoga. We’ll then depart for a day trip to explore the islands located off the coast of Krabi. Swim, take photos, snorkel, and enjoy lunch throughout the day in this stunning backdrop. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)
February 6 – Morning yoga. Today, we’ll visit Tham Sua…also known as the Tiger Cave Temple. This sacred site houses tiger paw prints, Buddha statues, and an incredible view. Stop for lunch and then return to the hotel for a farewell dinner. (B,D)
February 7 – Morning transfer to the airport to fly back to Bangkok. Connect to international flights home in the evening. *Flights should be 8 p.m. or later. (B)
Extension Trip to Cambodia

February 7 – Arrive to Bangkok International Airport and connect to evening flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Upon arrival, process through immigration, baggage, and customs and then transfer to hotel. Relax and enjoy the evening. (B)
February 8 – Morning visit to Samatoa Lotus Farm. Enjoy a boat trip through the farm. Then, visit the Landmine museum and Apopo Hero Rats – two incredibly impressive organizations. Afternoon trip to Bateay Srei Temple – this is a 10th Century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and Parvati. Return to hotel in the evening. (B)
February 9 – 5:30 a.m. departure to witness sunrise at the famous Angkor Wat Temple Complex. Enjoy a local breakfast and coffee before setting out to explore the largest religious complex in the world and one of the best preserved of the Angkorian Temples. Explore the Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor Thom Temple, and Bayon Temples throughout the day. Stop for a local lunch. Return to hotel and relax after a long, but rewarding day. (B,L)
February 10 – Explore more of the area today with visits to East Mebon Temple complex and Pre Rup Temple complex. The East Mebon temple is a 10th Century mountain temple built by King Rajendravarman II and dedicated to Shiva. It is a pyramid of terraces with stunning sculptures and statues. Pre Rup Temple is dedicated to Shiva and was the state temple of King Rajendravarman II. Traditional lunch in the village. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)
February 11 – Transfer to airport for flight back to Bangkok. Connect to international flights home. (B)

Passport – Your passport must have at least two blank pages and a minimum of six months’ validity from the date of entry.
