Itinerary
July 22 – Arrive to JKIA in Nairobi. You could book Hilton Garden Inn Airport with your points on this night. (Hotel not included)
July 23 – Meet your safari guide at 9am and visit Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust to see the 11 a.m. feeding of the orphaned elephants. Proceed to Lake Naivasha and check into hotel overlooking the lake where zebra, giraffe, waterbuck and more roam free. (B,D)
July 24 – Morning visit to Hell’s Gate. Enjoy a game drive and a walk through the canyons and gorges. Continue on to Lake Nakuru National Park and check into lodge. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon to go in search of black and white rhino, resident flamingoes, lion, leopard, giraffe, hyena and more. (B,L,D)
July 25 – Morning drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Game drive on the way to camp. Check into tented camp. (B, D)
July 26/27 – Game drives throughout these days to go in search of the Great Migration and the Big 5 – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant. All meals at camp. (B,L,D)
July 28 – Morning drive back to Nairobi. Stop by the Giraffe Conservation Center to learn about these gentle giants. You can book Hilton Garden Inn Airport this evening. (B) (Hotel not included)
July 29 – Morning drive to Mount Kenya area. Stop for lunch at Barney’s Restaurant. Visit the Mount Kenya Wildlife Animal Orphanage and learn about the Bongo Conservation Project. Then, check into hotel with views of the mountain. (B)
July 30 – Spend the day inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Be on the lookout for rhino, elephant, lion, hyena, and more. Make a visit to see Baraka, the blind rhino. There is also a chimpanzee sanctuary here. And the last two female Northern White Rhinos on the planet call this conservancy home. Stop for lunch at Morani’s inside the park. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B)
July 31 – Morning drive back to Nairobi to catch afternoon flight to the Lamu Archipelago. Meet your Village Experience representative and transfer via boat to Shela Village. Check into Swahili style accommodations.
August 1 – Board Hippo Dhow for a day of sailing around the islands. Sit back and relax and take in the scenery. The dhow will then anchor so you can swim and explore the beach while the crew prepares a fresh fish bbq right on board. Return to Shela in the afternoon. (L)
August 2 – Free morning to sleep in and enjoy the beach. Around 11 a.m., join the Shela Women’s Association for a samosa making class and Swahili lunch. This responsible tourism offering ensures that tourism dollars make it to the women so they can provide for their families. Free afternoon. Evening sunset sail on board Hippo Dhow. (L)
August 3 – Transfer to airport for morning flight back to JKIA. Connect to evening flights home. Can book Hilton Garden Inn day room if flight is late. (B)

Required Documents
- Passport – Your passport must have at least two blank pages and a minimum of six months’ validity from the date of entry.
- eVisa – Apply for your eVisa one month in advance at the following link: http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
- Travel Insurance – The plan must include medical evacuation, repatriation, medical coverage, trip cancellation and trip interruption.
- Covid Entry Requirements – Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Global Haven
Vaccination certificates must be uploaded to the Global Haven website before boarding your flight at the following link:
https://globalhaven.org. It will generate a QR code which you will use for proof of vaccination.
Travelers Health Surveillance Form
Incoming travelers are required to have a QR code for a completed Travelers’ Health Surveillance Form that they can access from the website https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/
When you register on the website, the code is sent to your email.
