Itinerary

September 30 – Arrive to Kathmandu International Airport. Check into Hotel Yak and Yeti for the evening.

October 1 – Sleep in and enjoy the morning.  Slow day to explore Boudhanth Stupa and have lunch with an incredible view. (B)

October 2 – Tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple). Return to hotel in the afternoon.  (B)

October 3 – Morning visit to Pashupatinath Temple and Cremation site.  In the afternoon, explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square. (B)

October 4 – Spend today exploring Patan Durbar Square. Enjoy a Nepalese Cooking Class and dinner in the evening. (B,D)

October 5 – Transfer to the domestic terminal of the airport for late morning flight to Bhaktapur. Meet hotel representative and transfer to Barahi Eco Lodge located directly across from Chitwan National Park. Embark on a sunset boat safari on the beautiful Rapti River. (B)

October 6 – Morning Jeep safari in Chitwan National Park to go in search of the one horned Asian rhino, elephant, antelope, pangolin, bengal tiger, monitor lizard, python and more. Free time at the pool. Afternoon Tharu Cultural  Walk to learn about the indigenous Tharu community in Chitwan. Return to hotel. (B)

October 7 – Morning jungle walk with local naturalist. Free time at the pool or spa. Afternoon Jeep Safari in Chitwan National Park. (B)

October 8 – Transfer to airport for flight back to Kathmandu. Check into Hotel Yak and Yeti for the evening. (B)

October 9 – Transfer to airport for flight to Bangkok, Thailand. (B)

Vaccinations

Visit the Center for Disease Control website for up-to-date requirements (www.cdc.gov) and/or speak with a local travel doctor regarding vaccinations.

We also advise that you speak with your doctor regarding a prescription for an antibiotic to combat food and water borne illnesses.

Required Documents

  • Passport – Must have at least one blank page (not endorsements page) and six months remaining validity or more at time of entry.
  • Visa – You will obtain your visa upon arrival at the airport.
  • Travel Insurance – Medical evacuation, repatriation and medical coverage are required by The Village Experience. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage.
