Itinerary
February 21– Arrive to Cairo International Airport. Meet our airport representative and process through immigration, baggage and customs. Transfer to hotel to relax for the evening.
February 22– Morning visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Then, head over to Sakkara for lunch with a local family. Visit the Necropolis of Sakkara in the afternoon – the site of the oldest pyramid in the world – the Step Pyramid. Return to hotel in the evening. (B,L)
February 23– Museum day! Spend today exploring the Royal Mummies Exhibit at the New Egyptian Museum of Civilization. This exhibit houses 24 of Egypt’s most powerful rulers from Pharonic times. Then, visit the Egyptian Museum or the GEM (depending on what is open). Stop for a lunch of local Koshari – one of our favorite meals in Egypt! (B,D)
February 24- Morning walk through the 1,000 year old open air museum of El Moezz Street. Visit local mosques, madrasas, and hammams. Stop for coffee and local lunch at El Fishawy – the oldest coffee shop in Cairo. Afternoon flight to Aswan. Check into hotel upon arrival. (B,L)
February 25– Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Philae Temple in the morning. Take a walk through the market and grab a local lunch. Enjoy a sunset felucca trip on the Nile River. Board Nile Cruise Ship and settle in for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
February 26 –Morning visit to Edfu to see the Temple of Horus. Continue sailing and then arrive to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Sobeck. Return to boat for dinner and overnight. Sail through the night to arrive in Luxor by morning. (B,L,D)
February 27 –Morning visit to the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings (including King Tut’s tomb), Medinet Habu, Hatshepsut‘s Mortuary Temple, and the Colossus of Agamemnon. Stop for lunch at Africa Restaurant. Return to boat for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Feb 28 – Check out of Nile Cruise. Visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Then, check into your hotel overlooking the Nile River. (B)
March 1 – Free day to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and slow down. (B)
March 2- Transfer to airport for flight back to Cairo. Connect to evening flight home. (B)

Visit the Center for Disease Control website for up-to-date requirements (www.cdc.gov) and/or speak with a local travel doctor regarding vaccinations. We also advise that you speak with your doctor regarding a prescription for an antibiotic to combat food and water borne illnesses.

- Passport – Must have at least two blank pages and six months’ validity.
- eVisa – U.S. citizens can obtain a renewable single-entry 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports for a 25 USD fee. We provide the visa processing upon arrival. You will be met in immigration and walked through the process by one of our reps. You will just need to have the $25 ready.
- Travel Insurance – Medical evacuation, repatriation and medical coverage are required by The Village Experience. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage.
