Itinerary
October 26 – Arrive to Hanoi International Airport in Vietnam. Meet your TVE representative and transfer to hotel for the evening.
October 27 – Morning walking tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Stop for local Vietnamese coffee and Pho for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Nguc Son temple and the Temple of Literature. Return to hotel in the late afternoon. (B,L)
October 28 – Morning drive to Halong Bay to board your 5 star Cruise Ship for the next two nights. Afternoon cruise activities. (B,L,D)
October 29 – Cruise activities to explore Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay, Tuan Chau Marina, Da Chong Islet, Tra Bau, Ba Trai Dao Beach, and Viet Hai Village. You’ll enjoy swimming, kayaking, caving, bamboo boat ride, and so much more in this stunning part of the world. (B,L,D)
October 30 – Morning activities. After brunch, drive back to Hanoi. Transfer to airport and catch flight to DaNang. Check into hotel located directly on the beach. (B)
October 31 – Morning visit to the Ba Na Hills Golden Bridge via cable car. Then, visit the Statue of the Goddess of Mercy and the Linh Ung Pagoda. Visit the famous Dragon Bridge before returning to the hotel. (B)
November 1 – Free day at beach to relax and take in the stunning scenery. (B)
November 2 – Morning drive to the UNESCO World Heritage ruins at My Son Sanctuary. Enjoy a local lunch in the area. Then, drive to the quaint city of Hoi An. Visit Yala Tailors and have fun ordering customized clothing from their onsite tailors. Check into hotel. Embark on a guided tour of the Night Market to try local food and participate in a lantern release activity. (B,L)
November 3 – Morning basket boat tour through small fishing villages. Then, enjoy a walking tour of Old Town Hoi An including the 5 Heritage Houses and Japanese Bridge. Free afternoon to explore on your own. (B)
November 4 – Morning drive to Da Nang catch flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, process through immigration, baggage, and customs. Then, transfer to hotel for check in. Visit the “Made in Cambodia” Market and the Night Market in the early evening to try local Cambodian food and enjoy dinner. (B,D)
November 5 – Morning visit to Samatoa Lotus Farm. Enjoy a boat trip through the farm. Then, visit the Landmine Museum and Apopo Hero Rats – two incredibly impressive organizations. In the afternoon, visit Bateay Srei Temple – this is a 10th Century temple dedicated to the Hindu Gods Shiva and Parvati. Return to hotel in the evening. (B)
November 6 – 5:30 a.m. departure to witness sunrise at the famous Angkor Wat Temple Complex. Enjoy a local breakfast and coffee before setting out to explore the largest religious complex in the world and one of the best preserved of the Angkorian Temples. Explore the Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor Thom Temple, and Bayon Temples throughout the day. Stop for a local lunch. Return to hotel and relax after a long, but rewarding day. (B,L)
November 7 – Explore more of the area today with visits to East Mebon Temple complex and Pre Rup Temple complex. The East Mebon temple is a 10th Century mountain temple built by King Rajendravarman II and dedicated to Shiva. It is a pyramid of terraces with stunning sculptures and statues. Pre Rup Temple is dedicated to Shiva and was the state temple of King Rajendravarman II. Traditional lunch in the village. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)

November 9 – Enjoy a community based tourism experience with “Living Land” and learn the importance of rice production in every day life. Then, embark on a walking tour of Old Town to see hidden temples, artisan shops, The Traditional Arts & Ethnology Shop (TAEC), and stop for lunch and coffee. Free afternoon to explore on your own. November 10 – Set out on a boat ride to the Pok Ou Caves via boat. These beautiful caves contain thousands of Buddha images left by visitors. Enjoy lunch at a local textile village. Then, head over to the KuangSi Waterfalls and Free the Bears headquarters in the afternoon. (B,L)
November 11 – Morning drive to Vang Vieng. Check into our hotel located on the shores of the Nam Song River with spectacular views of the limestone mountains in the area. This hotel has a sustainable and responsible tourism philosophy…just like us! Enjoy a hot air balloon ride at sunset. (B)
November 12 – Morning visit to the Pha Tang Bridge and Temple in the countryside. Proceed to Wat Pho Karm Chai Mong Kol – a colorful Buddhist Temple. Enjoy lunch with incredible views of the limestone mountain formations. Return to hotel and embark on a sunset boat ride on the Nam Song River. (B)
November 13 – Morning drive back to Luang Prabang. Transfer to airport for international flights in the evening. (B)
