KIM BAUMAN
Kim Bauman is a San Diego–based yoga and meditation teacher and the founder of One Love Movement, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing people together to take meaningful action and build support for impactful projects around the world. This initiative was inspired by Kim’s lived experience as an orphan and foster child, fueling her deep commitment to connection, service, and community empowerment. Through her work, Kim creates spaces for healing, belonging, and transformation, giving voice to those who might otherwise go unheard.

Itinerary
October 5 – Arrive to Cairo International Airport. Meet our airport representative, process through immigration and transfer to the hotel.
October 6 – Morning yoga and welcome session. Depart hotel at 10am. Spend the morning visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Then, head to GEM. Lunch break upon arrival at the museum. Afternoon tour of the museum. Return to hotel. (B)
October 7 – Morning yoga. Depart at 10am. Community day with our friends in Dahshur. Learn how to make bread with the women of the village. Enjoy a tour of the farm and an organic farm-to-table lunch. See the Dahshur Pyramids off in the distance. In the afternoon, visit our friend Nada and her group of women to learn about traditional handicrafts and help prepare food for vulnerable families. Return to hotel in the evening. (B,L)
October 8 – Morning flight to Aswan. Visit the Philae Temple upon arrival. Enjoy a traditional lunch and conversation with a Nubian Family in the village. Enjoy a walk around the village to see traditional homes and handicraft. In the afternoon, board your Nile Cruise. Yoga, dinner and overnight on boat. (B,L,D)
October 9 – Sail to Kom Ombo in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the Temple of Sobeck and the mummification museum. Return to boat and continue sailing to Edfu. Yoga while sailing. Lunch and dinner on the boat. (B,L,D)
October 10 – Morning visit to the Temple of Edfu. Board the boat and sail through the Esna Lock. Yoga while sailing. Arrive to Luxor and visit the Temple of Luxor and Sphinx Avenue at sunset. (B,L,D)
October 11 – Check out of Nile Cruise. Optional hot air balloon early morning. Then continue on to visit the Valley of the Kings (including King Tut’s Tomb), Queen Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, Medinet Habu, and the Colossi of Agamemnon. Stop for lunch at Africa Restaurant. Check into hotel on the Nile River. Sunset yoga on the lawn. (B,L)
October 12 – Morning flight to Cairo. Connect to flight to Amman. Meet our airport representative, process through immigration, and transfer to hotel. Evening cooking class with a local womens group to have fun, gossip a bit, and learn about Jordanian cuisine. (B,D)
October 13 – Morning yoga. 10am departure for Dead Sea. Take a float and enjoy lunch. Continue on to Little Petra for a tour. Then check into hotel for the evening. (B,L)
October 14 – Morning yoga. 10am departure. Full day to explore Petra – one of the ancient wonders of the ancient world. Evening dinner with a local family to connect to the community on a deeper level. (B)
October 15 – Morning yoga. Depart at 10am. Drive back to Amman. Stop for lunch. Then, head to the ancient Roman ruins at Jerash in the afternoon. Check into hotel close to airport in the evening. (B)
October 16 – Transfers to airport throughout the day. Check out at hotel is typically 10-11am. (B)

Vaccinations
Visit the Center for Disease Control website for up-to-date requirements (www.cdc.gov) and/or speak with a local travel doctor regarding vaccinations.
We also advise that you speak with your doctor regarding a prescription for an antibiotic to combat food and water borne illnesses.

- Egypt Visa: Visa is available upon arrival. Our airport representative will have your visa ready when you arrive. Please have $30 USD on hand.
- Jordan Visa: Your visa is included in your trip package.
- Travel insurance -Medical evacuation, repatriation and medical coverage are required by The Village Experience. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage.
For those wanting to purchase a “cancel for any reason” travel insurance policy, please CLICK HERE for ways to compare and purchase a policy plan. These special plans must be purchased within a week of registering for the trip and paying the deposit.
Otherwise, traditional travel insurance plans including medical expenses, medical evacuation, repatriation, and trip interruption can be purchased anytime before the trip departure date.
