MIKKI TROWBRIDGE
Mikki Trowbridge is an Oregon-based yoga teacher and instigator of community through Yoga + Beer and Resonance Yoga Collective. In addition to teaching yoga, Mikki is a Board Member for The Village Cooperative and loves traveling, reading, sipping on craft beers and getting outdoors for a hike, a paddle or to catch a sunset.

Itinerary
October 18 – Arrive to Cairo International Airport. Meet your TVE representative and transfer to hotel in Giza. Check in and relax for the evening.
October 19 – Morning yoga and breakfast. Then, set out to visit the Pyramids of Dahshour. Proceed to our community partner in the surrounding village for a tour of the organic gardens and date palms, a bread making class, and an organic farm to table lunch. Make date cookies and then learn about local handicrafts from the women. Return to hotel in the late afternoon. (B,L)
October 20 – Morning yoga and breakfast. Then, visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Proceed to the GEM for lunch break (people can choose where to eat lunch inside the museum) and tour of the brand new museum. Return to hotel in the early evening. (B)
October 21 – Morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival visit Karnak Temple, have a quick falafel lunch, and then visit Luxor Temple. Check into your hotel with beautiful views of the Nile River. Evening yoga and dinner. (B,L)
October 22 – Optional hot air balloon ride. Spend today at the West Bank of Luxor visiting the Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu, Queen Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, and the Colossus of Agamemnon. Stop at Africa Restaurant for lunch. Evening yoga at the hotel. (B,L)
October 23 – Morning yoga and breakfast. Free day to enjoy the pool and spa or travel to the Valley of the Queens to see the tomb of Nefertari and visit the Ramusseum. Transfer to high speed train in the early evening to Aswan. Check into wellness resort. (B)
October 24 – Enjoy yoga and breakfast. Then, board boat for visit to the Philae Temple. Enjoy a traditional Nubian lunch in the village. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)
October 25 – Morning yoga and breakfast. Visit the Kalabasha Temple. Quick falafel lunch. Return to hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a plant based cooking class with the hotel chef. (B,L,D)
October 26 – Free day. Optional excursion to Abu Simbel can be booked or people can explore more of Aswan on their own or use the spa. Evening yoga. (B)
October 27 – Morning transfer to airport. Fly back to Cairo. Visit the Royal Mummies exhibit at the New Egyptian Museum of Civilization and shop at Fair Trade Egypt. Free time for lunch in Zamalek. Check into hotel near the airport. (B)
October 28 – Transfers to airport throughout the day. (B)

- Passport – Must have at least two blank pages and six months’ validity.
- eVisa – U.S. citizens can obtain a renewable single-entry 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports for a 25 USD fee. We provide the visa processing upon arrival. You will be met in immigration and walked through the process by one of our reps. You will just need to have the $25 ready.
- Travel Insurance – Medical evacuation, repatriation and medical coverage are required by The Village Experience. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage.

Itinerary
October 28 – Morning transfer to airport for flight to Amman, Jordan. Meet TVE representative before lunch and transfer to the ancient Roman City of Jerash. Stop for a quick lunch and then enjoy a walking tour of the ruins. Check into House Boutique Hotel in the late afternoon. (L)
October 29 – Meet your guide and driver in the morning and head to the Wadi Rum – The Valley of the Moon. Stop for lunch on the way. Check into Sun City Martian domes in the desert. Head to sunset spot. Bedouin style dinner at hotel. (B,L,D)
October 30 – Two hour jeep tour of the Wadi Rum in the morning. Then, drive to Petra to enjoy a late lunch with a local family. Check into Petra Boutique Hotel. Free evening to explore. (B,L)
October 31 – Full day exploring Petra – one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. Stop for lunch onsite and people can pay on their own for what they would like to eat. Continue exploring. Return to hotel in the afternoon. (B)
November 1 – Morning drive back to Amman. Stop for a swim in the Dead Sea and lunch. Arrive to airport by 3pm to connect to evening flights home. (B,L)
