India is a magical place that touches on every sense-from the minute you land and walk off of the plane you are hit with that exhilarating sensory overload. The beautiful bright colors of the saris, the intoxicating smell of curry, the rush of traffic and people; never do I feel more alive than when I am here.
When I first started developing our handbag brand in India, I was overwhelmed. There were so many textiles, finishes, and adornments to choose from. How would I ever be able to narrow down the choices? Working with our artisan partners here has been such a privilege. I am excited to take our passengers to meet the extremely talented weavers, master tailors and professional team that makes the Sora Nomad brand happen.
Walking the markets looking for fashion inspiration NEVER feels like work and for that I know I am so lucky. I love the exhilaration that comes from developing a new product. Where will the customer wear it? Did we think about every function? How many countries will it visit 🙂 ?
Knowing where our products are made and who made them is so important. Having that special connection to an item develops its value and significance in our lives as the consumer. Gone are the days of the fast fashion craze (thankfully!). People really care about where their goods are coming from.
